This post similar to an earlier one: it is essentially a description of one of the locally owned boutique shops in The Cajun Village with a photo gallery attached:

The Cajun Village in Sorrento, Louisiana, has several vernacular Louisiana buildings on site. These buildings house all of the boutique shops as well as Al’s Coffee House. The buildings range in age from 90 to 190 years old. This blog will occasionally spotlight each building and the business that resides within it at The Cajun Village. Today’s post features Louisiana Wines.

The dwelling that houses Louisiana Wines (as well as Boniblu Candles), called the “Darrow L”, dates from 1860. The interior of this “L” shaped house remains very much as it looked originally. Only the walls in the factory area have been changed to accommodate the commercial kitchen.

Louisiana Wines is a purveyor of wines made by Casa de Sue Winery. Casa de Sue specializes in fine muscadine wines made from Louisiana muscadines. Louisiana Wines offers free wine tastings, Tuesday through Sunday from 10am-5pm, so customers can get a small taste of local Louisiana flavor. Wines are available by the glass, bottle, or case.

Below is a gallery of some of the wine and candles that can be purchased at Louisiana Wines and Boniblu Candles. Contact Bonnie at 225-675-6184 or 504-559-9766 at Louisiana Wines if you are interested in purchasing any of these wonderful Louisiana-made wares!
